DESCRIPTION: Tiger eye is in the quartz family (chalcedony) and is known for its beautiful tiger-like color and patterns. What gives this stone its color is the fibrous bands of crocidolite that were once silica. What gives the appearance of a cat’s eye is the luminescent band referred to as chiromancy. The fibrous make-up of this stone allows for some very beautiful effects depending on the angle of the light reflecting through it.

INTERESTING FACTS: Tiger's Eye can come in several different colors, most common the gold, but also blue and red too!
